A few variations on this meme are out there, all of which are fun to read just for the suggestions that come pouring in.
We would love suggestions too, and have a few ideas for how we'll pick what to read:
1. There are two of us, so two comments will be picked randomly.
2. We'll have 1 month (30 days) to read our books.
3. May we suggest you look at what got a B+ or better so you know what we already enjoy. In that same line, you might want to look at our Cs - we're not big fans of those books. :)
4. Any book counts no matter when it was published, although we reserve the right to say no to your book. (I can't imagine too many reasons to do this.)

I just love your blog. Reading is an passion of mine.
Two of my all time favorites - oldies but goodies. (You may have already read them, but they tend to be rather obscure). Journey Outside by Mary Q. Steele - 1970 Newbery Honor (and inspiration for City of Ember?). and The Green Book by Jill Paton Walsh. You know I could give you oodles of ideas but these are two for today.
Sorry Jenny, I was logged in under my library blogger ID. 2112 was really me. Fun idea, it will be interesting to see what you pick.
This scares me a lot. I don't like recommending books because it is like putting a part of myself out there. Plus, you and I have similar tastes, but just dissimilar enough I am not sure.
Anyway, after much thought: Have you read the Mercy Thompson books by Patricia Briggs? It is an intriguing concept and I would be interested to see your take on it. The first book is Moon Called. Book Number 2, but you have probably read it, Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale.
Hm. I'm gonna go with THE QUEEN OF ATTOLIA by Megan Whalen Turner. I know you've read THE THIEF, but I wasn't sure about the sequel.
