The Magic of Ordinary Days, by Ann Howard CreelAdult, 2001
Olivia (Livvy) Dunne finds herself in an arranged marriage after getting pregnant out of wedlock. Moving to lonely farm country, she finds out what's important, and what love really is.
I enjoyed the book, but found it moving at a very very slow pace. The plot is sweet, the characters real, but in the end, I enjoyed the movie more. For example, Ray checks out a book - in the novel it's about pregnancy, but in the movie it's about archaeology so he can talk to her about something else besides farming and get to know her better.
In the end, I'd probably give this book an A- were it not for the 'love' scenes. They aren't graphic, and you still would not find this in the romance section. However, I felt like they detracted from the main story a bit and weren't what was important - something the movie figured out and handled quite well. Graded B+
For the movie, this is probably the best Hallmark movie made. It stars Keri Russell (pregnant again...) and they just do an excellent job. Graded an A-.

Well acted and great story line/plot. The movie was slightly different than the book - in this case the movie was better; better character development and better ending. Loved it.
Great review, i'm going to put the dvd on my list, cause i love to see it.
