Sticky Notes

Books and Bikinis Reading Challenge - read 10 books about mermaids, the sea, the beach...by the end of the summer! hopefully soon!
(7 out of 10 read)

Please be patient with the fewer and far-between posts....we have a new 'half' born in April and things are slow as we adjust and try desperately for more sleep. (It's a girl!)

Friday Finds

I know a lot of people do this - I usually don't, although I add new 'to read' books to my shelfari all the time. But mis(h)takes is typically my inspiration, and I found a bunch today when I went to use my 40% off coupon at Borders.

Ok - here you go:

Ring of Fire, by P.D. Baccalario
Found in Juvenile, mystery with history mixed in.

The Eyeball Collector, by F. E. Higgins
I've read some of his other stuff which is...different, but in a fun way. Good reads for Halloween, but not so creepy you can't sleep. Found in Juvenile.

The Last Thing I Remember, by Andrew Klavan
Found in Young Adult, this futuristic novel is by an Edgar-award winning novelist.

The Company, by K. J. Parker
Found in Adult, 5 war veterans take their families to an island to escape the world and live in their own community. But things don't go as planned....rated excellent by Orson Scott Card.

Morbid Curiosity, by Petracelli
For those of us that enjoy reading what actually happened to Hitler in his final hours....etc. Found in non-fiction, this would make a great airplane read, or perfect for a history teacher that's trying to liven up his 10th grade class.
